If your item is damaged, bring you damaged item and proof of purchase. As the relatively newly appointed CEO of the IKEA Group, I would like to share with you some experiences I have had with your company, and I am sorry to say they are not great.

For large companies that includes tools such as our GetHuman Phone, which allows you to call a company but skip the part where you wait on the line listening to their call technology music. The next day the deliver came and I thought that would be the end. Sometimes things don't go as planned. and was surprised to talk to someone. The LANDSKRONA chairs came back in stock about a week before we drove to Charlotte to get them. Let’s just stop and think about this for a minute.
Contact us. I was wrong. We pretty much wanted to know when the couch would be back in stock anywhere in the Southeast. We had no furniture, and I was thinking it would be nice to get an order of furniture going so that it would be delivered soon after we moved into our new house. Or customer service in general?
Just not the style I wanted. ... You delivered some wrong parts … I did that and to my surprise got this message after submitting the form: “Thank you for your email. Yes, I believe we both agree that you failed me on that. I hope you don’t mind me calling you Peter. So we were hesitant to start driving 2 hours with no confirmation that the couch would be there when we got there.
Thankfully they were in stock until we were able to get there. But I never had to use the online IKEA website. Call one of our agents. Call our Free Concierge and we will compare service and plans in your new home area and schedule all setup for the same day- free of charge! That's almost 3 weeks! Regardless of your issue, you can always visit your local IKEA store and we will find a solution for you. This is important to note because ordering with IKEA to do a delivery from the store and ordering online from IKEA to do a delivery from their warehouses are TWO DIFFERENT THINGS.

I submitted a cancel request every 72 hours, and got my first reply after 2 weeks. I said: I can't email, only submit a form, and the wait on the phone is 2 hours.
Also, after our first visit, the helpful IKEA salesperson gave us the phone number of the IKEA furniture department in Charlotte. Since IKEA Charlotte is a 2-hour drive away from us, this seemed like a smart choice. Which is why I could add the furniture to my cart, but no delivery date would show. My order status still shows as “preparing order”. Unfortunately, the call center is notoriously understaffed and undertrained. I then get a call from the decorator explaining to me that he is having difficulties assembling the bed, and that there seem to be parts that don’t belong to the bed. At IKEA our vision is to create a better everyday life for the many people.

(Which wasn’t happening.). So Peter, it all started a few months back when I ordered the white BIRKELAND bed for my eight-year old daughter after she decided, based on an online-search, that this was exactly the bed she wanted. It was bad once, but now I had to experience this again.
So Peter, it would be fantastic if, after over 9 months, you could finally find someone to pick up the bed parts that still fill my garage.
I got on the phone to customer services again but the automated message told me that there is a 90 minute wait.
Just so you have a better picture of what the IKEA online ordering problems really are. Please ensure you have the bill payers permission before contacting a company on our website.
Before the second visit, we called the Charlotte store number and had them confirm there was 2 chairs in stock. The lesson is, you can’t set an alert on the IKEA website and expect it to work. Ordering furniture and home goods from Target and Wayfair ws as smooth as silk. Anna said: Sorry, that's not something we sell. However, I was still considering it (see below on why I would do that…) in the back of my mind.
The next best way to talk to their customer support team, according to other Ikea customers, is by calling their 800-434-4532 phone number for their Member Services department. This phone number is Ikea's Best Phone Number because 142,806 customers like you used this contact information over the last 18 months and gave us feedback. I guess 2 chairs are still too low of stock numbers for the website to allow pick up in store.
Or so I thought. In the online space IKEA is now competing with the likes of Amazon and based on my (I admit limited) experience, is failing miserably. And THAT’s where it gets super complicated.
I found out that the couch was back in stock at Charlotte only because I got on the IKEA USA website and did my own search. After being put on hold, she came back and said that there was no stock in the warehouse that serviced my area (apparently you can only get furniture if there is stock in a warehouse closest to the delivery site). Which is disconcerting to say the least. But we could only find a national toll free number for IKEA.
It waits for the final check at checkout, so you don't know until the end that you have added something like Oddlaug panels which say they can be bought online but can only be bought in store.
Seriously, what kind of customer service is that?
We're actually not allowed to give out direct store numbers (at least at my store) because corporate wants all customer calls funneled through the call center first so as to not flood the store lines. One of the options of getting around using the IKEA USA Online Ordering system was to buy IKEA furniture on Amazon. We will help you find a solution. In total, there are 4 ways to get in touch with them. The young and just-a-little-condescending customer service rep told me that I was doing something wrong. So, back to my problem with your customer service. It would have denied your gift card at the end if you had seen it deduct the amount online and gone through with the purchase. But I was able to deduct the price when I applied for the card number and pin number for the first time.
