I am in LOVE with this quiet book. <3. Did you also use the Kurio tablet as well? I love it x I would love one for my daughter but don’t know that I am that talented.
I only stuffed a few things (like the frog’s legs), but I used just regular batting (you can find cotton or synthetic blends at nearly any fabric or craft store). I have a very cheap sewing machine that would never make it through felt–i love that you use a hot glue gun (definitely have one of those!) By funky, I mean a few things. Gah! It will not hold on felt. Some of the animals are stuffed, but did you put stuffing in all of them? I wish you the VERY best of luck!!! I’m making one of these right now (but still need a few more colours of felt) As per your instructions in making the complete book….do you make each single page and glue them together so they are double thickness…or are they single thickness and one page can hold 2 activities on each side? I just drew things on paper, cut them out as templates, and traced them onto the felt. Each person chooses one (or two!) I made one of those card table playhouses and some felt food but this looks like a fun project for my littlest one!
I drew outlines on pieces of paper and cut them out of felt. But, I have many projects to finish first.That’s not a problem. I use regular plain ol’ soft felt rather than the stiffened kind.

Wow, this book is so beautiful. It came out so cute, and I loved sewing the felt my hand so much that I also made both of my granddaughter’s Christmas nativity dresses with hand sewn felt figures on them.

I’ve made my kids lots of little stuffed animals out of felt and for some reason, I don’t get the same sense of peace and accomplishment when I use a machine. I was honored that one of my quiet books is used as part of ABA therapy (Applied Behavior Analysis) with kids with psychological disorders.
This is amazing and I cannot wait to get started. We are going to start trying for a baby towards the end of this year and this is exactly the type of thing I hope to create for when our own little one eventually comes along. Then I sewed a small rectangle around the green fabric to connect all the pages together. Next I cut a strip of felt to use as the binding (here I chose green). Owl (baby owl hiding under a wing) Above all, you wanna use every moment you can and be part of their childhood.

Hope that helps! However, living in a very small town, there is nowhere here to buy felt by the yard; we only have a walmart, and they do not carry it. How did you do the zig zag bits for the borders of the page? My quiet books promote learning through play activities for babies and young kids and are especially valuable for kids with learning disabilities. Then get back together and exchange pages. What a great solution! (I’m no seamstress! ), Thank you for the inspiration, just finished mine yesterday! My 1,5yr old toddler LOVED it!
